By this acquisition, Karnov Group takes over Wolters Kluwer’s Legal & Regulatory business, which going forward will be named Norstedts Juridik AB. This business area includes the legal solutions Zeteo and Crito as well as the Swedish publishing business.
For many years, Norstedts Juridik has successfully delivered legal information solutions to the Swedish legal business, as well as the corporate and public sectors.
By combining the two leading players, Norstedts Juridik and Karnov Group, the ambition is to offer the Swedish market the absolute best legal information solutions, with even higher quality and increased accessibility.
“With this aquisition we strengthen the outlook for both companies, as well as strengthening our position as the leading supplier of legal information in Scandinavia. We will have an even broader customer base, having access to the product portfolio of both companies. At the same time, we will have the possibility of developing even better solutions for the market, making use of our capabilities in artificial intelligence and virtual reality”, says Flemming Breinholt, CEO of Karnov Group.
The actual merger of the businesses will take place in the first half of 2019. Until then, the companies will act as two separate units. Norstedts Juridik and Karnov will remain as two separate brands under Karnov Group.
Karnov Group will have 230 employees and an expected yearly turnover of SEK 625 mn.
